Fatima Family Center

Through Roots of American Music’s Musical Connections program, ROAM works with the Fatima Family Center to provide music programs for children and senior adults.  Located in Cleveland’s Hough neighborhood and part of the Catholic Charities system, Fatima Family Center provides programs and services for all ages.  

At Fatima, ROAM teaching artists provide music education and enrichment to students during the school year as part of the center’s after-school program and during its summer camp.  Working with ROAM teaching artists, students receive instruction in ukulele and guitar, and participate in songwriting and other hands on musical activities. 

As part of the Musical Connections program, ROAM musicians present a concert series for senior citizens every Thursday who participate in the Center’s lunch program. ROAM provides live musicians who perform Blues, Motown, early rock, jazz, folk styles for the senior group. These activities are made possibly by a generous grant that ROAM received from the Cleveland Foundation. ROAM thanks the Cleveland Foundation for its generosity in supporting this project.
