A Common Message of Love

I have spent my years in Mt Pleasant

On Imperial Avenue

Where Buckeye and Kinsman converge

That is the home I always knew

My children had kids of their own.

They had children as well

Some of the grandkids have also grown

The family continues to swell

Chorus:           Where we all can to be together

We are held by the lord up above

These are bonds that you cannot sever

With a common message of love

Examining words from the bible

I took to a new study group

We are all fellow disciples

We share songs, scripture and soup

Chorus:

Lunches and music and friendship

In a neighborhood called Hough

On hold now due to the virus

We can’t get back there soon enough

Chorus:

I was born in the room where I’ve spent many years

In a home where we have had few feasts

My children all moved, they wanted me near

So I settled with them out east

Chorus:
